The Little Tomato (小番茄), The Little Pineapple (小菠萝) and The Little Bokchoy (小青菜) are a trio of bilingual children’s board books with rhyming lines, adorable characters, and are stories about friendship, going through change, and being different from others. Together, they form a storybook series called The Little Garden (小花园).
Written in English and Chinese (in both pinyin and Chinese characters), the books rhyme in both languages. They are a friendly companion to many different readers and families, and is perfect for bilingual parents, a grandparent who only speaks one language, an English-speaking spouse to a Chinese speaker, or a young Chinese reader. Each also comes with digital companions such as an audio reading, printables, and a glossary.
